Newest Press Release Numberfor Bicycling Through History January 2007

Bicycling Through History, the DVD publisher featuring videos of famous cycling trails with period music and explanations, has recently returned from several trips. Although we did not shoot a whole lot of video, Vickie did manage to get some shots with her digital camera. We would like to put all the pictures online, but these will have to do for now.

These first few shots were in Paria Slot Canyon near Kanab, along the border between Utah and Arizona.

This was a hike we did a day or so before Christmas 2006.

Slot canyons can be dangerous in summer because a thunderstorm could send a huge current of water down the narrow canyon, possibly injuring or killing hikers.

We did the hike on day with zero chance of rain, and the temprature was actually quite pleasant.

The next few shots were Christmas decorations in Rockville, Utah.

Then there are other houses, . . .

And we have some typically spectacular landscape shots near Rockville, Utah.

And, Vickie found this beautifully decorated GINGER BREAD HOUSE !!

See if you can pick out Mt. Kinesaba,

Vickie had to get some directions from the locals to find other good hikes, . .

Then we found a trail that revealed some authentic petroglyphs.

It is difficult to capture the true grandeur of the surroundings.

There are many more trails to ride and stories to tell.

Just type your questions in the Chat form.
